LUTHIERS SANS FRONTIERES USA
LSF-USA is the American counterpart to Luthiers Sans Frontières, an international organization that provides repair services to musicians, orchestras, and ensembles in areas where no local services are available. Between 2010 and 2017, American LSF members have traveled to Trinidad, Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, and Ecuador in service to musicians and orchestras, and are proud to aid the growth of music education across the world.
LSF USA is very excited to announce the start of a one-year partnership with Violinabox. Violinabox is a project conceived by luthier Andrew Carruthers. Ten violin makers in nine countries around the world collaborated on making a violin together, each working with materials local to their home base and involving other local artisans in their part of the project.
